Building Confidence and Consistency
Foundations 2 is intended for archers who have completed Foundations 1 or have equivalent experience. This program reinforces the fundamentals while introducing greater consistency and control in the shooting process.
Participants will continue developing:
Proper shooting form
Shot sequence fundamentals
Aiming and sight adjustment
Introduction to scoring
Basic practice routines
The emphasis is on developing repeatable technique while increasing confidence and independence on the range.
XQuest Archery Academy also offers an End of Session fun competition for our class participants for a nominal fee. Archers will be introduced to archery's competition format, be given official practice and instruction on scoring and shoot a 30 arrow indoor score.
This is a great opportunity to test the skill archers have worked on throughout the course.

- Please ensure you arrive 10 minutes prior to your confirmed class start time to sign in with your coach.
- Please do not wear loose clothing or long earrings as these might get caught in, or interfere with, the string.
- Also, please ensure you wear closed toed shoes (like runners) as you would not be able to participate otherwise.
- On wet days, please ensure you bring a clean, dry pair of closed toed shoes and remove your wet footwear in the front entrance hallway. Wet shoes are not permitted in the archery range.

Course Refund Policy

Course cancellation or transfers are accepted up to 7 days in advance of your booking. Refunds and transfers are subject to a $10 plus HST administration fee.
Cancellations and Transfers must be completed by PHONE ONLY. Requests submitted by email will not be accepted.

Youth between the ages in 10 and 12 MUST be accompanied by a participating adult. Should a youth between 10 and 12 show up to participate in experience archery without the registered adult, they will not be able to participate and no refund will be issued.
Archery 101 & 102 (level 1, 2, & 3)
Refunds requested 7 days or more prior to the start date of classes will be accepted. Anything under 7 days will require documentation to support absence or refund (ie. doctor's note, obituary, etc.)
Course refunds are subject to a $20.00 plus HST administration fee per individual.
Transfers are accepted up to 48 hours in advance of the course start date, however, any transfers made within 7 days of the course start date are subject to a $20.00 plus HST administration fee per individual. The transfer fee MUST be paid prior to confirmation of the new lesson start time.
Transfers are subject to availability.
For refunds requested within the 7 day period prior to class start date, a credit will be issued. The administration fee will be subtracted from the credit.

NOTE: this is a course designed with specific instruction and learning outcomes in mind. You are purchasing a time slot on a specific day and time for the duration of the course. Missing a class, without cause (see the refund policy above), will not result in a refund for the class or a make up class. Please be mindful of your own schedule when booking so that you pick the best night to allow you to attend all of your classes.
PARTICIPANTS AGREEMENT
DESRIPTION OF RISKS
I am aware that there are physical risks and hazards inherent in archery and in my participation in archery activities at XQuest Archery, including my use of equipment such as arrows, bows, arm guards, finger tabs, and buttresses.
The risks and hazards of archery include, but are not limited to:
- Injuries to the bow arm due to string slap;
- Injuries to the bow shoulder due to overuse;
- Injuries from walking into arrows in the target buttresses;
- Injuries from executing strenuous and demanding physical techniques in archery
- Injuries resulting from the mechanical failure of any of the archery equipment
Furthermore, I am aware:
- That injuries in archery and be severe and even fatal
- That the rules posted in the archery facility are designed to enhance the safety of myself and others and are to be followed at all times;
- That Coronavirus/COVID-19 is highly contagious and I voluntarily assume the risk that I or my child(ren) may be exposed to or infected by Coronavirus/COVID-19 by participating in XQuest Archery programming; and that exposure or infection may result in personal injury, illness, permanent disability, or death to myself, my child(ren) or other family members or individuals we may interact with outside of XQuest Archery. I understand that many public health authorities may still recommend practicing social distancing.
- I understand and acknowledge that the risk of myself or my child(ren) becoming exposed to or infected by Coronavirus/COVID-19 may result from the actions, omissions, or negligence of myself and others, including, but not limited to, XQuest Archery employees, volunteers, and program participants and their families. I further agree and acknowledge that I am increasing the risk of myself or my child(ren) becoming exposed to or infected by Coronavirus/COVID-19 by participating in XQuest Archery programming.
RELEASE
I agree to be solely responsible for any injury, loss or damage which I might sustain while participating in archery and while using archery equipment at XQuest Archery, and I agree to release XQuest Archery, the XQuest Archery Club and respective directors, officers, employees, instructors, coaches, students, volunteers and members of all responsibility for such injury, loss or damage.
ACKNOWLEDGMENT
I acknowledge that I have read this agreement and that I fully understand, appreciate and accept the physical risks associated with my participation in archery activities and my use of archery equipment at XQuest Archery.
